Featured Artist :: Kathleen Robbins

kathleen_robbins_headshot_room_setting

Kathleen Robbins earned her MFA at Massachusetts College of Art where she was an adjunct faculty member for 5 years. A resident of the Button Factory Artist Studios in Portsmouth, many of her landscapes reflect the seacoast area in New Hampshire and Maine. Gallery representation includes Van Ward Gallery in Ogunquit, Maine, Camden Falls Gallery in Camden, Maine, as well as Art 3 Gallery in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Inspiration comes from many sources including still life and landscape. The process of building the painting is critical to her work. Gesture, color, line and surface all come together to walk the illusive line between representation and abstraction.

Over her career Kathleen has received many awards including three best in show awards for plein air painting in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Her work is in many private collections throughout New England and the United States. Her professional experience also includes working as an art therapist at Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire.

Spotlight :: Animals in Motion

From dancing to yoga and swimming to baking; our animals are joyful and curious, sneaky and playful.

A white mouse rides the waves in Surfs Up by Lucia Heffernan, and Picture Day by Erika C. Brothers gives an elegant zebra a whole new level of sophistication. Hanna Melin makes us wonder if chickens do indeed wear glasses in Hens in Glasses, while a young bear feels safe in human arms in You Are Safe – Bear by Paula Belle Flores.

Enjoy our animal inspired art prints and add a touch of humor to your walls. Contact your sales rep today about all of our new releases.

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
— Anatole France

Spotlight :: Museum Inspiration

From a Red Billed Toucan to a willowy Almond Blossoms – we have you covered for your museum and old masters art needs. The works are both traditional and curious – like this one – Scherzo di Follia from Pierre-Louis Pierson – where we feel like we are being watched; to an early 20th cycling poster, Cycles Perfecta from Alphonse Mucha. Museum pieces don’t have to be stuffy and unapproachable; they can be charming and unpredictable.

These fabulous works of art would translate easily to puzzles, greeting cards, school supplies, apparel etc.

Just give us a shout if you find the perfect image for your product. And as always, we hope you are well and we look forward to seeing you soon.
